Sunday, October 08, 2006 hazey days...it was a rush rush morning... realising that i forgot entirely about the dsta scholarship preview thingy... how forgetful.. haha luckily woke up early cos suppose to meet mouse and bamboo to mug.. end up pangsehing them.. lolx... luckily my bro fetched me on the wae to school and ironically became the first few to reach... coalesed with lots of rv peepz... namely qihan, jerry, weide, vivien and not forgeting meishan... =) saw so many people i knew from rj... hahaz.. realised these scholarship talks seem to have the exact replica of the same peepz each time.. like deja vu like tt.. eeks.. the preview was not bad larz.. DSO seems like a nice place to work at.. hahaz... abit to military based for my liking thou and furthermore only 5% of the scholarship is awarded to pure and life sciences.. thats like less than 3 a year.. wth... learned alot of new things today.. like how a stealth fighter works and how optical flow works, a really interesting concept really, is actually how bees navigate themselves.. lolxwent to mug mug aft tt until like 11.. hahaz in orchard summore.. wheelock coffee been is a nice place to mug.. zZz... oh my.. PSI is now at like 140.. considered unhealthy.. but strangely seems to be less hazey than last nite.. lolx.. and one would think, let go home early and lock ourselves in aircon room so dun have to breath in smoky air and guess wad i saw on the national environment agency (NEA) site... During a smoke haze, the fine particulates enter an air-conditioned building through the fresh air intake and by infiltration through openings and gaps. The particulate levels indoor can thus build up to unacceptable levels. This could have undesirable health effect on the occupants of the building and adversely affect the efficiency of the air-conditioning system. oh my goodness.. i'm dying... suffocating my own room.. ahhh.. someone save me... =( fact of the dae.. from SEED magazine... the male green spoon worm (some kind of a sea worm that resides on the sea bed) is 200,000 times smaller than the female worm and resides in her reproduction tract, regurgitating sperm through his mouth to fertilize her eggs... amazingly this difference is not due to genes but due to the environment... young worms have no sex and becomes male or female depending on whether it encounters a female in th 1st three weeks of its life... if it finds a female, it turns into a male and takes it position in her reproduction tract.. if it does not find a female, it turns into a female itself... interesting right... |
